18 Month Check Up

Yesterday Vanessa had her 18 month check up.  Yep, she's 18 months old, where does the time go??  It's just amazing to me how quickly kids grow up!  She wasn't very happy to be at the doctor's office but the good news is that she is growing and developing the way she should.  She weighs 25 pounds and is 32.5 inches tall.  She is in the 75th percentile for her height, weight and head size which is where she has continually been since birth.  Vanessa is such a fun little girl full of spunk and attitude.  The good news for her is that she is so cute most of the time, it makes it hard for us to get too upset when she's doing stuff she's not supposed to or throwing her tantrums.  She definitely knows how to work her dad. Okay, her mom too.  You can't help but have fun just being in the same room with her.  She absolutely adores her big brother Andrew and gets so excited just seeing him.  She loves her Ally too.  It's so fun to hear them giggling together.  And her dad, well there are no words to explain how much she loves him.  She is a daddy's girl.  Anytime the door to the garage opens she runs yelling 'daddy' 'cause she thinks it's him coming home.  I love it!!  She completes our family and I love spending every day with her!

 

Her new accomplishment, she climbs the rock wall on the play ground at the park and then goes down the 'big' slide.  She must have done it 20 times the other day.  It was so fun to see her gigantic smile each and every time she did it!
