All Kinds of Treasures

I finally pulled out some of the 'older' baby toys for Vanessa. I put them all in a basket and found her digging in the basket one day, looking for her next treasure. She kept pulling out the toys until the basket was completely empty.

Finally!!

I have been trying to get Vanessa to hold her own bottle for a while now. Not because I don't enjoy holding her but with the two older kids, I just don't always have the time to hold and feed her like she'd like. She finally decided to help me out by holding her bottle herself. Life is so much easier now.

Dress Up

Ally got a 'treasure chest' of dress ups for her birthday. One day Andrew decided to use some of the dress up on Vanessa.



He then decided to use some for himself.



I figure this picture will be great bribery when he gets older.

St. Patrick's Day

Ally's preschool had a St. Patrick's Day party. Ally was very excited even though she didn't understand why she was wearing green, but hey, anything to wear a new shirt.

Ally's Chuck-E-Cheese Party

Ally's Chuck-E-Cheese party had games, rides, family, friends, and so much more!!! I've said it before but it's events like these that make me so grateful that we live so close to the majority of our family. I am also so grateful for the many friends we have that have become more like family than friends. Ally's birthday party became a large gathering of not only her friends, but many family friends also and family too. All the kids had lots of fun playing together and the adults did too. It's amazing how when adults are put in kids' settings their childlike behaviors quickly come out. It was a great night. One that Ally really enjoyed and one that we won't soon forget either.











Here are a few of the many fabulous girls my life has been blessed with. I wish I could be lucky enough to get all the fabulous people we have been blessed with as friends together at once! What a party that would be!!



It truly was a wonderful night!!

Cousin Fun

Phin and Vanessa were left alone in the living room on Ally's birthday and they came up with their own kind of fun...



I love that the kids play so well with their cousins even at such a young age, even if they are pulling apart wipes. Vanessa was very happy!

Andrew's Got Talent

While we were at Grandma and Grandpa Davis' house for Ally's birthday Andrew showed me his new talent, he can dunk a ball on Grandma and Grandpa's basketball hoop when it is set to 6 feet. He is so proud of himself.

Ally's Fifth Birthday

Ally turned five on March 12. (Yes I'm behind on my blog but I'm trying to get caught up.) I can't believe that it has already been five years since this special angel came into our lives. She is an amazing girl with a giant heart. She is constantly worrying about everybody else and wants to make sure that everyone is happy. She is such a good big sister. She always tries to make Vanessa laugh and keep her entertained and happy. She is so loving towards Andrew and gets hurt if he doesn't respond to her with love at all times. She loves fun and is always wanting to play with her friends and can make friends everywhere.

One fun thing about her birthday this year is that it was also the day Vanessa turned 7 months old. Ally loved being able to share her day with her little sister. She even told everyone that it was Vanessa's birthday too.



Jim had to go to Indianapolis so he missed her birthday. All that she has wanted to do for her birthday is go to Chuck-E-Cheese. In fact, she told us we were going to Chuck-E-Cheese and she said it so matter of factly we knew we had no choice. We convinced her to wait until Jim could go celebrate with us so we went the Tuesday after her birthday (that post to follow). I didn't want to pretend like her real birthday was just another day so we got up in the morning and went to McDonald's for breakfast with our wonderful friends the Lewis'. We then went to a fundraiser boutique at her dance studio and then picked up lunch and went to the park to eat and play with the Lewis' again. Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Davis' house for a mini party with presents,



dinner and cupcakes and ice cream.



What more could a little girl asked for? She had a great day and was definitely spoiled, which she deserved. She also was very sweet and gave everyone a giant, Ally thank you hug, including Andrew who wasn't thrilled about it.




She is such a fun little girl and such a joy to have in our family!!

Another Trip

Jim had to go to Indianapolis for work this weekend. While he was packing a little addition was made to his suitcase...



Yes she was removed before he left. Andrew was worried she wouldn't like the flight ;)

Ally's Preschool Birthday Party

Ally was so excited 'cause she got to take treats to preschool for her birthday. She picked chocolate chip cookies and blow pop suckers to take. She had to get dressed pretty for her big day at preschool.



She had a lot of fun at her party and her sweet teachers gave her a crown and a gift bag with treats, bubbles, crayons, etc. She felt so special.

What happens when you leave a seven month old alone with a phone book? This....



And yes, she was extremely proud of herself!

New Balls

I have started a bad habit with my kids. Whenever they go to the store with me they get a treat if they behave the entire time we are at the store. Last week we had a few things to pick up so we stopped at the store. I had all three kids. Andrew and Ally saw the rubber balls and wanted one. Since they were about the price I would pay for a candy bar (okay, maybe a little more expensive but honestly, not much. Plus, then I don't have to worry about the sugar they are getting with the candy), I told them that would be their treat for the day. They were both so excited. That night they were playing with them in the living room and to my surprise, Vanessa was sooooo excited to see and play with the balls. She would laugh as they rolled passed her and even giggled when she accidentally got bonked in the head by one. It was so fun to see her get so excited.

Vanessa Incognito

For those of you who didn't know, I have a famous baby that has to go incognito even here in her own home. All right, so Ally just got some new sunglasses and was nice enough to share with Vanessa. Since Ally loves to have her picture taken she came running to me and told me I just HAD to see Vanessa, oh and grab the camera. I did have to laugh. Vanessa looked so cute.





Ally likes to put things on Vanessa. She thinks she is her own personal doll. One night she put her necklace on Vanessa but not like a necklace, it was Vanessa's crown since she is a princess.
