New Additions

We have some new additions to our family...new babies, twins to be exact. Oliver Truman and Paisley Laura were born on May 1. They both weighed about 4 lbs. 8 oz. and were born healthy and strong. Mom (Jim's little sister Dorothy) had some blood pressure issues but is doing well. It was so fun to see Andrew and Ally get so excited about their new cousins.

They couldn't wait to hold them.

Vanessa didn't know what to think

One thing we know for sure, she didn't like not being the center of attention.

We are so happy for Dorothy and Cameron and to have these adorable babies in our family.

She's A Monkey

We have called Vanessa 'Goose' for a while now because of her silly attitude I called her silly goose which was then shortened to 'Goose.' We have recently decided her nickname needs to be changed to monkey since she is a major climber. This girl loves to climb on anything and everything.

As soon as she saw Jim's legs dangling down she saw a challenge of something new to climb. The girl has absolutely no fear. Too bad her mom does.

Photographer Ally

One day I picked up my camera and found many, MANY pictures of odd things, such as the TV, living room carpet, Ally's nose, etc., etc. Ally got a hold of my camera and had lots and LOTS of fun. I only kept a few of her masterpieces.

I have learned I have to keep my camera up and out of reach. Just kidding, I am grateful for digital cameras and the fact that some pictures can be deleted.

Easter

I'm so glad the Easter bunny hates the cold and is willing to hide the eggs in the basement in the case of inclement weather. The kids were up and ready to go hunting bright and early. One of the times 1:00 church is a good thing 'cause they got to find the eggs and presents the easter bunny left them before church instead of after.

So much so she started stealing from Andrew.

Then it was time to get ready for church. I kept with tradition again this year and got the girls and myself new dresses for Easter. I tried to get Andrew a new tie but I unfortunately got one that was too big. He was disappointed but I promised to make it up to him and get him a new one but didn't have time to get it before church that day.

After church (before we left for Grandma Davis') the kids got goofy with their buckets.

Then it was off to Grandpa and Grandma's for another egg hunt

We had dinner and some yummy ice cream which was Vanessa's favorite.

Grandma's dog Cooper also loves ice cream so Uncle Jac worked to keep the dog from stealing V's ice cream.

It was a great Easter this year! I love Easter and remembering the Savior and his Atonement. I am so grateful for His sacrifice so I can repent of all my short-comings so Jim, me and our kids can live together forever!

Egg Decorating

This year has been a bit crazy with soccer for Ally and Andrew, baseball, piano and trying to keep up with school stuff and every day life so the kids didn't decorate eggs until the day before Easter. Yep, not getting the World's Best Mom award again this year, in fact, I won't even be a candidate I'm sure. Neither of the kids were really into decorating this year. I think it took 5 minutes to color a dozen eggs. Oh well, it got done and for the most part, the seemed to have fun.

Which One???

Vanessa was having a crisis the other day...she was so flustered and just didn't know what to do...

all right, so it wasn't so dramatic but really made me laugh. She just didn't know which one to drink out of, bottle or sippy cup.

She alternated for a while and then finally settled on her favorite, the 'baw baw.' I don't think I'm ever getting her off the bottle.

Ward Egg Hunt

Since Andrew had baseball practice the morning of our ward's Easter egg hunt, Vanessa, Ally and I braved the freezing cold temperatures and went over to the park for a pancake breakfast and egg hunt. Vanessa didn't understand the whole process and just wanted to be held by me.

Ally did a great job getting eggs for herself, Vanessa and even got a couple for Andrew. It was a lot of fun even though it was cold.

A guy in our ward has a fun 'train' he pulls behind his four-wheeler and brought it over after the egg hunt. Ally LOVED it!!
