It has been a very long time since I have updated our blog. Wow! February, really?!? I knew I've been a slacker but I had no idea it was that bad. A lot has happened in four months so for now sit back, kick up your feet, relax and enjoy a recap of the Marks' happenings (I promise to try and keep it brief but come on, it has been four months)!
First, we had to say goodbye to one of our family members, our beloved Dixie.
Her tumor returned and grew at a really fast pace so there wasn't much we could do. Saying goodbye is really hard! We struggled but know she is in a better place and is not in pain.
We had our annual family Valentine's dinner.
Andrew received his Bear award (I think that's what you call it) in Scouts.
We got a new dog.
Jim decided to agree with me that our house was too empty without a dog so we got a dog from a place in Missouri. The day we went to pick her up at the airport it snowed, probably the biggest snow storm we got this winter.
The drive up was absolutely beautiful!
Vanessa was extremely excited to be getting a new puppy.
The poor puppy was pretty traumatized after a long flight and drive to her new home. It took quite a bit of coaxing to get her out of her crate.
Once we got her out, there was no stopping the family love!
Yep, even the cat got involved, if only he'd known then how much she'd pester him ;).
It was then time for Annie to be initiated into the Utah snow.
She also got to play with Andrew and his friend, watch a movie with Ally and Vanessa tried to take good care of her while she slept.
Andrew and his friend Kavin created a basketball court for a Lego competition.
V found interesting places to fall asleep.
No, I am not all caught up, but that is all you get, for now. I want to put more 'meat' into the next post which will be all about our princess Ally turning seven. And yes, I promise to get the rest updated before another four months have passed. Maybe it will only take me three months this time ;).
